Ricco splits Kharkiv into delivery zones, each with a guaranteed delivery time; if the courier is late, the customer gets a free pizza with the next order. So the site had to do more than show the menu: orders had to reach the kitchen at once and then go straight to couriers. We designed the desktop and mobile versions, built the front end, back end and admin panel, set up order transfer to iiko with status sync back, and developed an app where couriers receive their orders.
Visual style
A warm coral brand colour, yellow accents and large pizza photos on white. Rounded cards and pill buttons keep the interface friendly, while bold Montserrat carries the headings.
Mobile version
The mobile layout keeps the desktop logic: a swipeable category menu, pizza cards, a product pop-up with toppings and a combo pop-up where every pizza can be set up.
Goals
- 01Easy ordering on a phoneMost food orders come from mobile, so the menu, product card and cart were designed for a narrow screen first.
- 02Orders straight into iikoWebsite orders had to reach iiko without an operator retyping them, and order statuses had to come back to the site.
- 03Zone-based logisticsHandle the green and yellow zones of Kharkiv, the delivery time for each and the split of orders between couriers.
- 04Orders straight to couriersSend each order to the courier's app with the address and contents, with no operator in between.
- 05Custom pizzas and setsLet people pick the crust, toppings and combo contents without cluttering the UI.
- 06Reviews and feedbackCollect ratings for food and delivery and let the admin reply to customers.
Key solutions
Menu and categories
The catalogue is split into quick-switch categories; every pizza has a photo, rating, ingredients and price. A separate "Menu builder" entry sits next to them.
Pizza pop-up with toppings
Crust choice, six extra toppings (mozzarella, salami, ham, bacon, feta, dor blue), live weight, calories and macros, customer reviews.
Combo sets
In a five-pizza set each pizza is configured separately: crust and double pepperoni switch on that pizza's tab.
iiko sync
A web order goes to iiko automatically and into work without manual entry. Order statuses sync back, so the site and iiko always show the same state.
Logistics module
Our own module assigns orders to delivery zones and couriers so each zone keeps its promised delivery time.
Courier app
Couriers get orders in a dedicated app: the address and order contents arrive on their phone as soon as the order is handed to delivery.
Order rating
After delivery the customer rates every item and leaves a comment; the review form rates food and delivery separately.
