01How do I create an online school website?

Start with the business model: one-off courses, cohorts with live classes or a subscription library. That defines the core features – payments, access rules, lesson formats and how students submit homework. Then design a simple student journey from landing page to first lesson, and add a mobile app once the web version proves itself.

02Should I use a ready-made LMS or build a custom platform?

Ready-made LMS and course builders are fine to test an idea, but they limit your design, pricing models, integrations and data. A custom platform makes sense when you have your own teaching method, several course formats, a sales team or plans to scale. We can also start with Moodle or another open-source LMS and extend it.

03How much does it cost to build an LMS or online course platform?

The cost depends on the number of roles, course formats, payment models, live classes, the mobile app and integrations. A school with a few courses and a corporate LMS with reporting are very different scopes. We give a fixed estimate per stage after a short brief.

04How do you protect course videos from being copied?

Videos are stored on a protected hosting such as Vimeo or Mux with domain restrictions, signed links and streaming instead of direct files. You can add watermarks with the student's e-mail and limit simultaneous sessions. No protection is absolute, but these measures make sharing much harder.

05Can students study from a mobile app?

Yes. We build iOS and Android apps on Flutter that share the same accounts, courses and progress as the website. Push notifications remind students about lessons and deadlines, and downloaded materials can be available offline where licensing allows.

Online school and LMS development

Online school and LMS development pays off when a student goes from payment to the first lesson in minutes and your team stops tracking progress in spreadsheets and chats. We build platforms where sales, courses, live classes, homework and certificates live in one system, so you can launch new programs faster and see where students drop off. The process is the same as in our web portal development, adapted to how people actually learn online.

Course builder and learning formats

Teachers assemble modules from video, text, files, quizzes and assignments, set drip schedules and deadlines, and publish without asking a developer. The platform supports the formats schools actually use:

  • self-paced courses with open or scheduled access;
  • cohorts with live classes in Zoom or Google Meet and recordings in the lesson;
  • subscription libraries and memberships;
  • corporate programs with mandatory courses and reports for HR.

If you already teach in Moodle or use SCORM packages, we can import content or keep Moodle as the learning core and build a modern storefront and student account around it.

Payments, tariffs and sales funnel

Students pay by card through Stripe, PayPal or a local payment provider: one-off, in installments or by subscription. Tariffs define what each student gets – lessons, curator feedback, live sessions, certificates. Promo codes, trials and upsells work without manual access changes.

Leads from landing pages, webinars and ads go to your CRM, such as HubSpot, so managers see who registered, who paid and who stalled. For high-traffic sales pages we run conversion optimization to raise the share of visitors who sign up.

Homework, progress and certificates

Students submit assignments in the lesson, curators review them in one queue and leave comments or grades. Managers see progress by student, group and course, and the platform sends reminders when someone falls behind. After completion, certificates are generated automatically with a unique number and verification link.

For language schools we add levels, placement tests, group schedules and teacher workloads, so administrators don't plan lessons in separate tables.

Roles, analytics and student data

An education platform has many users with different rights: students, teachers, curators, sales managers, administrators and, for corporate training, HR and department heads. Each role sees only what it needs. Dashboards show revenue by course, completion rates, homework turnaround and the lessons where students most often stop, so you improve programs based on data rather than guesses.

Student personal data and payment data are handled with care: card details stay with the payment provider, access is logged, and we design the platform with GDPR principles in mind when you work with students in the EU. Data from the platform can be exported to Google Sheets or your BI tool, and connected to HubSpot, Mailchimp or Telegram bots for reminders and re-engagement campaigns.

Mobile app and AI assistants

Many students study from their phones, so we build mobile apps on Flutter for iOS and Android that share accounts and progress with the website. Push notifications bring students back to lessons and deadlines.

AI helps where it saves teachers time: a chatbot that answers questions about the course, quiz generation from lesson materials, first-pass checking of written assignments. We set up AI assistants and bots on top of your content, with a human reviewer where accuracy matters.

Launch, migration and growth

Already on a course builder or an old LMS? We migrate students, courses and payment history and keep existing pages in search. Timelines depend on the number of roles and integrations; we estimate after a short brief. After launch we stay on support, add features in sprints and help attract students through SEO and Google Ads.

For a new school we usually recommend starting with a focused first release: catalog of courses, payments, lessons, homework and a student account. Live classes, the mobile app and AI features are added in the next sprints, when you already see how students use the platform.
